Jill Nelson

Director of Operations

Jill joined our team in March 2020 as our Administrative Coordinator, and now serves as Director of Operations.  A radical Jesus follower since her teens, she immersed herself in serving and discipling others. She faithfully gives from her compassionate heart, and her ability to see practical solutions helps her gently guide others into applying the truths they are learning. She believes in the power of spiritual discipleship — real-world, real-time teaching done in community, in relationship, in safe transparency with others…life done together!

Through years of serving the lost and new believers, Jill began to recognize a lack in spiritual support and restoration for those who are serving. In His grace, God birthed a desire in her heart for reciprocal blessing, creating community where individuals both serve and receive with equal measure. Now she is helping us build and establish that concept into all our KLM programs.

Jill has been married to her husband, Mike, for 25 years and is blessed with 4 amazing world changers—3 children and a wonderful son-in law! Serving Jesus hand in hand with her family is her greatest joy.

Angie Sohnleitner

Director of Healing Ministries

Angie has spent the last 17 years in special education working as a teacher, autism initiative coach, and supervising special education teachers. She joyfully poured God’s love for others into the public education system by advocating for students with disabilities while providing support and encouragement to their families.

While she loved teaching children with special needs, her own life was marked by years of dark depression, fear, debilitating rejection, and insecurity. Desperate for freedom from the persistent pain and short-lived solutions, she began her personal journey into healing with the safety of a trusted caregiver. Although long and challenging, God’s grace poured out through the process transformed her view of her past, herself, her marriage, her relationships, and ultimately redefined her relationship with Jesus Christ. From that place of personal healing and transformation, God birthed the ministry of Soul Care Counseling in her heart.

Now Angie provides a haven for hurting and broken people to become whole through Soul Care sessions that facilitate restoration through encounters with Jesus in the places of deep pain. Answering His call into full time ministry, she resigned from public education in June 2021 to become the Director of Healing Ministries at KLM.

Angie has been married for 22 years, has 3 beautiful children and a dog named Stella. She loves worship, travel, quality time with her family and friends, playing games, and just being silly.

Karen Barrick

warehouse supervisor

Karen is a ray of sunshine who manages to keep even our windowless warehouse filled with light! A student of the Word and avid prayer warrior, Karen first met Kelley years ago attending her ladies’ Sunday School class. During the summer of 2019, Karen volunteered to help in the office, but discovered that she really loved working in our warehouse. October 2019, Karen accepted the job of Warehouse Supervisor, logging and cleaning donations and helping our clients feel special by arranging them in beautiful displays. Our team is so grateful for the organizational skills that Karen brings, as well as her love for decorating. Karen works extremely hard while bringing joy and laughter with her jokes and unique wit. If you desire to donate any household goods or furniture, please email Karen at donations@KelleyLattaMinistries.org.

Rodella Brown

move coordinator

Rodella serves as our Volunteer Coordinator for our Love LIVES outreach. She loves Jesus, sunflowers, and—we happily discovered—bakes incredible cookies! Rodella first joined our team during the summer of 2019, volunteering alongside Karen Barrick in our warehouse. She’s a hard worker with a tender heart and a passion for helping people! In October 2019, Rodella took on the additional role of scheduling our client moves and furniture pick-ups. A volunteer herself, Rodella coordinates the schedules of our volunteers, staff, and clients to manage our moves and pick-ups with grace. She is the friendly voice that you will hear if you sign up to volunteer with our moving team.

Gina Kelly

Healing Community Leader and Client Mentor

Gina became family to Kelley long before KLM was born when Kelley married her brother, Steve! In 2019, Gina joined the KLM prayer team and prayed that God would open up opportunities for her to serve in the ministry. She initially volunteered alongside her husband during client moves, loving the interactions with the clients and sweet times of prayer with each client at the end of the move. She now serves as a Healing Community leader, partnering with us to lead women into their divine identity through the study of God’s Word. Gina serves the women with authenticity and grace, creating a safe environment for them to encounter Jesus and find peace and hope. God has given her a deep love for the women who attend, and she finds true joy watching their lives change as they learn to see themselves through God’s eyes—His precious daughters who are deeply loved! Naturally reserved and quiet, God is teaching her to boldly fight to see the beautiful women He brings to the group each week find healing, gently yet firmly speaking God’s truth over them.  Gina also serves as a client mentor, following up with clients through a friendly phone call or greeting card. She loves these opportunities to remind them that they are loved by God!

Anell Appleton

client mentor

Anell’s life reveals a beautiful story of God’s redemptive power! Personally walking through healing from her own abusive past, she now shares Christ’s love with empathy and grace, helping others to heal. Anell first joined our KLM family in June of 2019 as our Administrative Coordinator, and quickly became a spiritual mother to both clients and staff.  She now serves as a Client Mentor, helping hurting women discover their true identity in Christ. Joy and laughter surround her, and her own story of victory over brokenness allows her to lovingly come alongside others and help guide them into Jesus’ arms. She longs for every individual to see themselves through His eyes and discover their true worth. Her passion for seeing people come to Jesus and experience real breakthrough shines, and she makes everyone who enters our doors feel immediately welcomed and loved. We are so thankful for her!

I am so thankful for each of these women who radically pursue Christ with me. We share a common vision: to become transformed into the image of Christ and reclaim Kingdom ground from the enemy in Jesus Name. Through laughter, tears, intercession, and accountability, we are watching His Word release its power into our lives and ministry. And we are amazed.
