It’s normal to come to God with a list of our hu

It’s normal to come to God with a list of our hurts and issues, and He cares deeply about them all. But prayer is so much more than that! It’s an opportunity to come close and enter His very presence. Think about that! That’s His invitation: Come close (James 4:8), and come boldly! (Hebrews 4:16) What an amazing gift God has given through Jesus… that we can approach Him and talk to Him personally! And even better, He longs to communicate back.

It’s hard to understand why we go through tough

It’s hard to understand why we go through tough things or why we feel distant from God at times. But whatever we’re going through, there’s nothing we can face that He hasn’t felt or experienced Himself (Hebrews 4:15-16). And He’s ALWAYS willing to help and restore us.

Jesus wants our whole heart. Have you ever thought

Jesus wants our whole heart. Have you ever thought about why? He doesn’t have an ego complex. He actually wants us to experience how good He is! And the places we withhold from Him through our self-sufficiency are the places He can’t bless. The more you and I learn to surrender, the more we’ll experience the power of His lavish grace.

The God who loves me more than I love me decided He wouldn’t let me settle for the good things I had. He insists on giving His best. Sounds good, doesn’t it? But we don’t always receive His best willingly. Sometimes, we fight it. Hard. Some thoughts for you on this Word on Wednesday:
